SCIENCE LECTURES FOR EVERYONE

The Phoenix Space Lecture Series is presented as part of our mission to democratize access to scientific education while also raising awareness about educational challenges faced by refugees in the Middle East.

What our students say:

"I liked all the amazing information about how the sun was made and what it is made of. What struck me the most is the sunspots and how they affect the earth and the heat that comes from the sun."

SHARING KNOWLEDGE AND INSPIRING LEARNERS OF ALL AGES

Each installment of the Phoenix Space Lecture Series is created and presented via webinar by one of Phoenix Space’s educators. We partner with leading scientists, academics, and technologists around the world to bring space science topics of interest to a variety of audiences. We also make sure that the lectures can be enjoyed by a range of attendees, from those with an ongoing interest in learning about space, to secondary school students with a general scientific background, and up through university students who are specifically focused on discrete areas of science at a more advanced level.

LECTURE TRACKS

We offer two tracks within the Phoenix Space Lecture Series, distinguished by the level of prior knowledge and scientific literacy needed by attendees in order to effectively understand the content.

ESSENTIALS TRACK

(available both in English and Arabic)

Appropriate for attendees with a general interest and understanding of science, including most secondary school students. The lectures share high level, easy to understand content that is appropriate for all ages. The main beneficiaries of these lectures are our students in the Middle East, but they are available for viewing to anyone around the world.

ADVANCED TRACK

(available in English)

Appropriate for university students and attendees with an advanced knowledge of science and maths. These lectures go into much deeper detail about the topics covered, and require advanced knowledge of the content as a prerequisite to fully understand and participate.
