Phoenix Space is honored to be partnering with We Love Reading, a Jordanian non-profit, to further expand our mission of building a better future for underprivileged students around the world.

We Love Reading encourages reading for pleasure as a vehicle for personal growth and community transformation, while Phoenix Space nurtures young people’s passion for space and general science.

Phoenix Space and We Love Reading are driven by the shared vision of a world where educated, skilled, and critical-thinking young people are able to take part in building a more just and inclusive society and create an economically sustainable future for their families, communities, and home countries. We will work together on the development of key competencies necessary for personal fulfillment and active citizenship in the long term.

Through this partnership, Phoenix Space will gain more operational insight into the successful scaling of locally-led sustainable initiatives, and We Love Reading’s reading circles project will be expanded into Phoenix Space’s existing network, further promoting the enthusiasm for reading among refugee children and their families.

Rana Dajani, Founder and Director of We Love Reading, said “The core principle of being a scientist is curiosity. Falling in love with reading is what fosters curiosity and develops critical thinking skills that help us push the boundaries and go above and beyond to explore and go where no one has gone before. Therefore our initiatives coincide and support each other to achieve mutual goals of promoting curiosity and love of learning.”

Alevtina Nepomniachtchikh, Founder and CEO of Phoenix Space, commented: “What We Love Reading has accomplished since its inception, expanding over 55 countries and empowering local youth is truly impressive. We are extremely happy to be able to help We Love Reading spread its reading mission while learning from their extensive experience, so we can spark curiosity and love for learning in more young minds for them to be able to develop their potential and agency.”
