Completion of Digital Heroes 2023

We are delighted to announce the ongoing success of our Digital Heroes program. Developed in collaboration with PwC and supported by our local partner, Blumont. We are grateful for their unwavering commitment and valuable contributions that have been instrumental to the program’s development and progress.

We are ecstatic to report that the programme has now been running for two consecutive years, and its success has only grown in momentum.

This 36 day digital upskilling initiative resulted in 38.5 hours of learning over 3/4 modules. Digital Heroes offers margionlised youth the opportunity to acquire invaluable skills highly sought after in today’s technology-focused market. Not only did this course increase digital literacy, but it also equipped these young individuals with fundamental and transferable skills to enhance future job prospects. Within our online course, students were guided by the expertise of the PwC Middle East Digital Accelerators, who supported and mentored students through this academic journey on a one-to-one basis.

The second cohort of Digital Heroes students consisted of 50 individuals, aged 17-30 from Palestine, Jordan and Syria, of whom 86% were refugees. The group was primarily composed of students from the UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, Zaatari Refugee Camp, Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), and the Syrian Youth Assembly.

Upon completion of the course, students underwent an examination and were awarded a certificate of recognition by PwC Middle East, a prominent and highly respected global financial firm. Additionally, Kubicle presented participants with an internationally recognised certificate. These certificates as well as the transferable skills Digital Heroes offered can ultimately enhance thier resumes and future career prospects highlighting the sustainability of our impact.
